Mediation
At Tender Law we believe that legal proceedings must always be an ultimate remedy. Experience shows that many problems can be solved by putting the heads together with a sense of common sense and willingness to compromise.
Since completing a postgraduate training in public affairs (KU Leuven, 2016), the founder of the office, Stijn Maeyaert, acts as a mediator for conflicts concerning government contracts (awarding and performance), concessions, PPP, public real estate transactions and construction law. His approach can be described as listening, empathetic, neutral and solution-oriented.
Full independence from the negotiating parties is an essential characteristic of a mediator. Tender Law therefore only acts as a mediator in conflicts between third parties (non-customers). With regard to our own customers, we naturally also offer mediation assistance, but only as counsel and not in the role of actual (independent) mediator.
